Child labour, workers exploitation and gender discrimination are in the background of the theatrical adaptation of the play The Chocolate Factory that the theatre company Jumping Ducks offered to our ESO students at Teatre Municipal de Banyoles last 22nd February. Inspired by the famous musical fantasy film directed by Tim Burton, based on the British novel of the same name by Roald Dahl, this play has a girl as a protagonist, Charlie, who fights for her rights as a woman to fulfill her dream.
