As every year, Primary School students took part in an English theatre experience, a proposal connected to the work on English language contents that allows students to reinforce their learning in a meaningful and hands-on way. This year, the activity was shared with Els Alocs School from our town, and together we went to the Sala Carrau in Vilassar de Mar to enjoy the different performances offered by the IPA theatre company.
First and second grade students enjoyed the play Wanda the Witch, a fun and imaginative story in which Wanda’s cat celebrates his birthday. Wanda takes the audience through her adventures as she tries to prepare an original birthday cake. This engaging performance captivated the youngest students and encouraged them to actively participate in English.
Third and fourth grade students discovered a very original version of Tarzan, inspired by the well-known story of the boy raised among monkeys. In this adaptation, the theatre company successfully combined humor, action, and learning, making us laugh while teaching important personal hygiene habits in a playful and meaningful way.
Fifth and sixth grade students attended the play Lara’s Labyrinth, a story that raises awareness about the importance of caring for the environment and using renewable energy. The performance was fun, educational, and highly interactive. One of the most lively and memorable moments was the Labyrinth Song, which the students thoroughly enjoyed.
We had a great time and learned a lot, almost without realizing it. We are already looking forward to next year’s theatre performances! In the meantime, we will continue working in the classroom on the contents and learning developed through theatre.
Setmana del teatre en anglès
Com cada any, l’alumnat de Primària de l’escola ha anat a veure una obra de teatre en anglès, una proposta relacionada amb el treball dels continguts de la llengua anglesa i que permet a l’alumnat reforçar l’aprenentatge de manera vivencial. Enguany, l’activitat s’ha compartit amb l’escola Els Alocs del nostre poble i, conjuntament, ens hem desplaçat fins a la Sala Carrau de Vilassar de Mar per gaudir dels diferents espectacles de la companyia IPA.
A primer i segon de primària han gaudit de l’obra Wanda the Witch, una història divertida i plena de fantasia en què el gat de la Wanda celebra el seu aniversari. La Wanda ens presenta les seves peripècies per aconseguir preparar un pastís d’aniversari original. Una proposta engrescadora que ha captivat els més petits i els ha animat a participar activament en anglès.
Els nens i nenes de tercer i quart han descobert una versió molt original de Tarzan, inspirada en la coneguda novel·la del nen criat entre micos. En aquesta adaptació, la companyia ha sabut combinar humor, acció i aprenentatge, fent-nos riure de valent mentre apreníem hàbits d’higiene corporal d’una manera lúdica i significativa.
L’alumnat de cinquè i sisè va assistir a la representació teatral “Lara’s Labyrinth”, una història que consciencia sobre la importància de tenir cura del medi ambient i d’utilitzar energies renovables. L’obra va ser divertida, educativa i molt participativa. Un dels moments més animats i memorables va ser la “Labyrinth Song”, que l’alumnat va gaudir molt.
Ens ho hem passat pipa i hem après moltíssim, gairebé sense adonar-nos-en. Ja tenim ganes de conèixer les propostes teatrals del proper curs! Mentrestant, aquests dies continuarem treballant a l’aula els continguts i aprenentatges que hem anat descobrint a través del teatre.
