GEP

GEP is a new project that was started three years ago in our school.

The idea is learning different contents from other subjects (Sciences, Art… ) using the CLIL methodology (Content and Language Integrated Learning).

In school contexts there is greater success in learning foreign languages through common subjects, such as history or science, than through functional curricula that treat them in forced or invented manner, as independent subjects.

Multilingualism in school contributes effectively to the development of communicative competence in languages, that optimizes and facilitates subsequent learning.

In this sense, language is not the main focus of attention, but it is used as a means of communication. This implies meaningful language learning that is considered the basis for the development of communicative competence, the ultimate goal of learning a foreign language.
