Saint Patrick’s Day

On the 17th of March we celebrated Saint Patrick’s day with the students of 5th and 6th grade. We listened to two Irish folk tales to get to know this culture a bit more: one about the Leprechauns and the other about Finn McCool, the famous Irish giant. Images and sounds accompanied the tales, which were told in English, so the learners could follow them better. Additionally, we could hear one of the typical instruments of that country: the tin whistle.

El dia 17 de març vam celebrar Saint Patrick’s Day amb l’alumnat del cicle superior. Per conèixer una mica més la cultura irlandesa, vam escoltar dos llegendes típiques de la zona: una sobre els Leprechauns i una altra sobre Finn McCool, el famós gegant irlandés. Els contes, en anglès, han anat acompanyats d’imatges i sons perquè l’alumnat els pogués seguir millor. A més, hem tingut l’oportunitat de sentir un dels instruments típics del país: el whistle.
