Children in Year 4 learned about how to draw realistic portraits during the art lessons. They learned how to draw the parts of the face in the right place as well as in their correct shapes and proportion. They also showed different emotions in their portraits and they coloured them following Mary Cassatt‘s style.
Finally, they talked about their artworks in groups. They followed an strategy called Fishbowl, in which there’s a group asking and answering questions and another is standing around and listening to their classmates.
