On Fridays we like playing games, role-playing, presenting projects, singing… to practise our speaking skills. Here you are an example of one of the activities done in class.
Students from CI had worked on a unit about wild animals. After listening to the story, we thought we could act it out. Children learned their roles, coloured their headbands and designed and made the background set.
On the last day of the school year, they acted the story out for the little ones. When they finished, they also sang the story song. They did a great work and the audience paid attention and enjoyed, too.

Els divendres a la tarda aprofitem per incidir en la part oral de la llengua a través de jocs, simulacions, presentacions, representacions, cançons, etc. Aquí teniu un exemple d’una de les activitats realitzades.
Aprofitem que amb els alumnes de CI havíem treballat vocabulari sobre els animals. Després d’escoltar la història de la unitat vam creure que era una bona idea representar-la. Els alumnes es van aprendre el seu paper, van pintar els seus antifaços i van dissenyar i crear el decorat per la representació.
L’últim dia de classe, vam baixar a la classe dels petits i els hi van representar l’obra. A l’acabar, van cantar la cançó de la història (la podeu escoltar al vídeo). Van fer una feina excel·lent. El públic va estar molt atent i van gaudir molt.
A recipe CM&CS

On Fridays we like playing games, role-playing, presenting projects, singing… to practise our speaking skills. Here you are an example of one of the activities done in class.
Students from CM had worked on a unit about food. They learned food vocabulary, grammar structures to talk about what we like and what we don’t like, and they also read a recipe.
First, I showed them the ingredients and tools needed and I asked them what they thought we were going to do. It was an easy question! Next, they started sharing their ideas about how to write the recipe. Lastly, they wrote the recipe.
Finally, they prepared and tried the smoothies. At the end of the video, you can read their recipe.

Els divendres a la tarda aprofitem per incidir en la part oral de la llengua a través de jocs, simulacions, presentacions, cançons, etc. Aquí teniu un exemple d’una de les activitats realitzades.
Aprofitem que amb els alumnes de CM havíem treballat vocabulari sobre el menjar; estructures lingüístiques per dir el que ens agrada i el que no; i també la recepta.
Per començar, els hi vaig mostrar els ingredients i els utensilis de cuina i els hi vaig preguntar què creien que faríem. Després, ells mateixos van anar explicant quines parts tindria la recepta: títol, apartat per ingredients, utensilis i passos a seguir. Entre tots van explicar els passos a seguir de la recepta. A continuació, la van escriure i vam aprofitar per veure quines característiques té aquest tipus de text.
Per acabar, la part més divertida! Fem uns batuts de pera i canyella i els tastem.
Al final del vídeo teniu la recepta per si us animeu a preparar aquest refrescant batut.

Després de les vacances de Nadal vam parlar sobre els propòsits pel nou any. Aquí teniu el que els alumnes de CM i CS van dir. Alguns dels seus propòsits són més somnis o desitjos que no pas intencions. El proper desembre recuperarem aquest llistat per veure si han complert amb els seus propòsits. Are you a board game lover? We really enjoy playing them. Games are a very useful tool to learn and review English. Once we finish a unit, we organise different corners with activities related to the contents we have been seeing. In groups or pairs, we play the game and every few minutes they change to another activity. I dare to say it is the students’ favourite day 😁

Us agraden els jocs de taula? A nosaltres sí! Els jocs són un fantàstic recurs per aprendre i repassar anglès. Quan acabem la unitat, organitzem diferents racons amb activitats relacionades amb el que hem estat treballant. En grups o parelles juguem en un dels racons i al cap d’una estona canviem de racó. M’atreveixo a dir que és una de les activitats que més els hi agrada 😁 Tenir aquests grups reduïts és un privilegi i ho valorem molt!
