VISITA A L’ESCOLA EL BOSC A MONT-RAL
20/01/20Aquest dissabte, 18 de gener vam visitar l’escola el Bosc, a Mont-ral (Alt Camp). L’Eva i la Judit van compartir l’experiència d’una escola feta a mesura de cada infant.
Un total 25 mestres es van desplaçar fins a Mont-ral per conèixer millor l’experiència educativa de l’escola i per debatre sobre el currículum, organització i l’avaluació del Congrés d’Educació Pública de Catalunya.
Va ser un matí per compartir idees, retrobar-nos amb amistats, fer país i com no fer xarxa entre escoles de tot el territori.
La propera trobada serà el 29 de febrer a l’escola el Frigolet, de Porqueres (Pla de L’Estany). Seguirem amb els debats del Congrés, però aquell dia estarem de celebració. Volem celebrar els 30 anys de les primeres ZER’s del país.
ETWINNING PROJECT: PORTUGAL – POLAND * EXCHANGE OF CHRISTMAS CARDS MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS
13/01/20Christmas is a very important celebration all over the world, bringing families and friends together.
Last Christmas, we had the opportunity to participate in a wonderful Etwinning Project with two schools, one in Portugal and the other in Poland.
We exchanged Christmas cards that we made out of some recycled materials which students found in their homes and at school.
Our students wrote a Christmas message in English and Catalan and our pen pals did the same but in Portuguese and in Polish.
Furthermore, as the Christmas cards were made from recycled materials, hopefully this made the students more aware of the importance of recycling and that something wonderful can be made out of trash.
As teachers, we wanted to emphasize that no action is too small when it comes to the importance of taking care of our planet.
We would like to thank the students in Portugal and Poland, and most of all, Lucia, the teacher in Portugal and Edyta and Miroslawa the teachers in Poland.
It was an amazing experience because we shared Christmas greetings with people who live so far away from us and in the process learned a little bit more about their cultures and traditions. Furthermore, now we know exactly where Portugal and Poland are!!!
We were also awarded “THE ETWINNING LABEL CERTIFICATE” and we are so happy about that.

Els alumnes de la ZER exposaran les creacions realitzades amb plàstic al Museu de la Vida Rural durant les vacances de Nadal.

L’ESCOLA AL TEATRE I VISITA AL MUSEU DE LA VIDA RURAL A L’ESPLUGA DE FRANCOLÍ AMB EI I CI
15/12/19El dia 20 de novembre, els i les alumnes d‘Educació Infantil i de Cicle Inicial de la ZER van anar a l’Espluga de Francolí a gaudir de l’obra de teatre “una carretada de contes”. Després, al Museu de la Vida Rural, on van visitar l’exposició dedicada al plàstic per poder entendre les propietats d’aquest material i de l’ús i/o l’abús que en fem cada dia. I van acabar la jornada amb una impactant visita al riu Francolí per veure els efectes de la riuada del passat 22 d’octubre.

FORMACIÓ: QUÈ, COM, QUI? AVALUAR
16/11/19Què hem d’avaluar? Com? Qui n’és el responsable? L’avaluació és un tema complex i una peça clau de l’aprenentatge. Avaluar per aprendre…aprendre per avaluar. Ahir a la tarda l’Elena Guillén de l’Escola Ocatvio Paz de Barcelona, ens va ajudar a mirar l’avaluació des d’una altra perspectiva.

SCHOOL TRIP: ALADDIN PLAY & MRL
16/11/19On the 7th October, our students from la ZER went to the theatre in L’Espluga de Francolí to see the amazing play “ALADDIN” in English. Not only did they enjoy the play but they also practised their English skills.
We also walked along part of the river Francolí to observe the impact the flood had on the environment and the negative effects.
After that, at the Museum of Rural Life, students participated in a workshop: “Could we live without plastic?” where they understood the negative impact of this material on our planet.
Our students really enjoyed doing these extraordinary activities and taking an active part in all of them.

GROW YOUR OWN JACK-O-LANTERN! HOW TO GROW PUMPKINS WITH KIDS
03/11/19This year one of our students decided to plant and grow her own pumpkin for our school annual pumpkin competition.
In this picture you can see the process she followed:
If you want to have a pumpkin for next 31st October, just follow these steps:
1. Find out when to plant pumpkins in your region.
2. Choose a planting spot and prepare the soil.
3. Choose pumpkin seeds or a plant.
4. Plant your seeds in “hills” or plant the pumpkin plant.
5. Cover the planted seeds or pumpkin plant with compost.
6. Water the pumpkin plant.
7. Fertilize the pumpkin plant.
8. Control weeds and pests.
9. Check to see if the pumpkin is ready.
10. Harvest the pumpkin.
11. Cut the pumpkins’ stems.
12. Carve a jack-o-lantern.

WHAT TO DO WITH LEFTOVER HALLOWEEN PUMPKINS
03/11/19Pumpkins are great for making scary lanterns at Halloween! But did you know that you can also make delicious snacks from pumpkins? At class we watched a video to find out about leftover Halloween pumpkins and our students realized that after carving the pumpkins they didn’t need to waste the inside (pulp and seeds). There’s no point in throwing away pumpkins when we can reuse them. One of my students made “cabell d’àngel” “pumpkin jam” and some of them keep the pumpkin seeds to eat them when they are dry.
So, if you throw food away, it’ll just be a waste of money.

THE FOUR ELEMENTS OF THE EARTH PROJECT
03/11/19It is believed that human activity is the main cause of Global Warming. Human actions have led to increasing quantities of greenhouse gases, as well as deforestation across parts of the globe. These actions are destroying our planet and with this project we would like to help students to know the causes and effects of environmental changes that we all have to face.
THE FOUR ELEMENTS OF THE EARTH (AIR, FIRE, LAND and WATER) are the basic essential parts of our planet.
This project is a CLIL project that integrates a part of the Catalan curriculum for Natural and Social Studies. It focuses on environmental issues. The fact that it is developed in English means that students have more time and exposure to the target language. They also develop their communicative and cognitive skills through activities which are designed for individual, pair and group work. The 4th C of CLIL, Citizenship, is strongly promoted as students learn about how to take care of the Earth through individual actions.
There are four different blocs of content. Block 1 starts with the topic of landscapes and how they are changed by natural and human actions. It continues in block 2, with a focus on the Earth’s resources and the demands made on them by humans. The third bloc aims to develop children’s awareness of the impact of human activity on Earth, including pollution and climate change. The last block encourages them to help our planet by taking personal actions at home as well as at school.

CELEBREM LA CASTANYADA A SENAN
02/11/19El passat dimecres dia 30 d’octubre, la ZER va celebrar la Castanyada a Senan, un poble preciós de la nostra comarca.
Alumnes, pares, mares i mestres vam gaudir d’aquest dia màgic ple d’activitats interessants i tan esperat per tots nosaltres.
Agraïment al poble de Senan per deixar-nos disposar de les seves instal•lacions.

VISITA A L’ESCOLA OCTAVIO PAZ
17/10/19El passat dimecres dia 9 d’octubre, alguns mestres de la ZER van tenir la gran oportunitat de visitar l’escola Octavio Paz de Barcelona per seguir formant-nos.
Agraïm a la Comunitat Educativa Octavio Paz la gran acollida i l’haver compartit el seu projecte educatiu amb nosaltres.

PRESENTACIÓ INICI DE CURS DE LA ZER
06/10/19La presentació de curs de la ZER Conca de Barberà aplega pares, mares i mestres de la comarca interessats en la xerrada de Carles Parellada sobre l’educació dels infants des de la perspectiva de la pedagogia sistèmica.
Durant l’acte, també es van presentar els trets d’identitat de la ZER Conca de Barberà i les línies d’actuació pedagògica pel curs 19-20.

QUIN ÉS EL SECRET D’UN BON DOCENT PER DEIXAR EMPREMTA?
