Theatre, civic learning, and new challenge; all in one day!

Last Wednesday, our students enjoyed a very special educational outing to Montblanc, a day filled with culture, discovery, and preparation for the future. The trip combined theatre in English, civic education, and an important visit for our 6th grade students as they begin looking ahead to the next stage of their academic journey.

One of the highlights of the trip was attending the theatre performance Little Red Rocks, performed in English. This modern adaptation presents a brave Little Red Riding Hood who travels to visit her grandmother, a former Music Hall star who risks losing her home.  The play explores values such as courage, respect for older people, and the idea that people’s true richness goes far beyond money.

Students also visited the “Consell Comarcal de la Conca de Barberà”, where they explored the building and learned how local institutions work. They even experienced how a municipal council meeting takes place, discovering how decisions are discussed and made in their community.

Lastly, our 6th-grade students also visited Institut Martí l’Humà to become familiar with the school where many of them will study next year. They explored the facilities and learned more about life in secondary school.

In short, this trip was a great opportunity for students to learn beyond the classroom, combining English, culture, civic education, and preparation for the future. It was an enriching and memorable day for everyone.
