Last month, the pupils of 6th, 5th, 4th and 3rd grades from Vilaplana and l’Aleixar went to Reus to watch a play in English, and also to visit the Gaudi Centre and learn things about one of the most famous architects in the world, Antoni Gaudi. The day of the excursion, we had to get up very early, because the bus to Reus departed at eight o’clock in the morning. When we arrived to Reus, we walked until the theatre. The play we saw was called Robin Hood and it was a musical. The songs were very nice, and the actors were very funny. We enjoyed it a lot. After the play there was time to ask some questions.
When we got out of the theatre, we had a snack at Plaça del Castell. Then, we went to Centre Gaudi, where we were split in two groups, one for 3rd and 4th grades, and another one for 5th and 6th grades. We had a guide for the whole visit, who told us lots of interesting things about Antoni Gaudi. We were also able to watch some beautiful audiovisual presentations and to see and touch some models of his most famous works, including the fabled Sagrada Família.
After the visit, we walked to a nearby park, where we had lunch all together and had some time to play afterwards. When it was time to go, we caught the bus again and we got back to l’Aleixar and Vilaplana.
All in all, it was a great day. We had lots of fun all together and we hope to do it again in the future!!
