Even if in the schools that form Zer Baix Camp Nord we try to emphasize as much as possible Catalan culture, and we try to preserve our traditions as pure as they can be, one thing is undeniable: Halloween has come to stay amongst us, and our children, as English learners, are always happy to celebrate it at school, even if only in English class. We read stories about this festival, we talk about its origin, we do drawings, but perhaps the things that they like the most, even if only 6è pupils do it, it’s the carving of a Jack O’Lantern at their houses with the help of adults and bringing them at school for everybody to see them! It’s something that couldn’t be done these past years due to the pandemic, but now that it seems to have receded and some sense of normality seems to have come back to our lives again, we have started to do this in our schools, and the children seem very happy for that. So, we, without further delay we presentyou with the Jack O’Lanterns from Zer Baix Camp Nord, fall 2021. We hope you like them!
