TELL ME A MYTH Day 2 – Intercanvi Erasmus+ a Borgorose (Itàlia)

Today, we’ve had our early breakfast and we’ve gone to the yard in order to make different activities to know more each person of the group. We’ve met some more Italian participants for the first time, too. Everything feels good: the weather, the people, the accomodation, the food…

After our very nice lunch, we’ve gone to the church and done some more different activities related to knowing more the group and to cooperation. During a break, a funny thing happened. Delia and I wanted to go to the bathroom. Lorenzo told us to go to the bar’s bathroom and so we did. We entered the first bar we saw, full of old Italian men. They were all staring at us. We tried to communicate with them for a long time, trying to ask them if we could use the bathroom. Finally, one of them understood the word “toilet” and told the barman what we wanted. Once in the bathroom, we found a very small and dirty room with no toilet paper. We were desperate. After some research, we found some toilet paper, but, as it was surrounded by spider webs, we decided to leave. While we were leaving the place, all men were either staring or laughing at us, as they understood what we didn’t- that that wasn’t the bar we were supposed to go to. One of them guided us to the right place and, after the long wait, we could finally use a bathroom.

We were all looking forward to going back to the hostel, since we were going to have professionally homemade pizza as dinner (which ended up being as tasty as expected). After this amazing dinner, we had the Bulgarian Night, a very interesting event. One must say that Bulgarians really take advantage of the roses they grow in their country to produce all kind of products with them.

Personally, I feel proud of myself today. I have tried to really talk to the Bulgarian people and I have learnt about their culture. I really loved it.
