An outing to the theatre, by Estela Peiró, 4th ESO A
Last Wednesday, 18th January, students of 4th ESO and 1st Bat went to the theatre to Tarragona. They were accompanied by the English teachers. They caught the bus at the bus station in Cambrils at nine o’clock and they arrived in Tarragona at half past nine. At ten o’clock the students and teachers had free time because the play started at eleven o’clock.
The play was Macbeth, one tragedy of William Shakespeare that shows the avarice, the selfishness and the ambition of some people who can kill someone only for the ambition. Some students admitted that it had been a nice hour.
After that, they had an hour and a half of free time again to go shopping or to walk around the city.
Finally, at ten past two, they arrived in Cambrils again.
THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH (W.Shakespeare), by Silvia Cruz, 4 ESO A
On 18th January 2017, 4rth ESO and 1st Bat went to see a play in Tarragona called MacBeth.
First of all, when we arrived in Tarragona, the teachers said to us that we had some free time for breakfast, and later we got into the theatre and we saw the performance.
MacBeth is an interesting story about Joe MacBeth,Lily, his wife, and an incredible story that is about the selfishness and avarice. The end of the story isn’t good, because the main character dies, and his wife inherits all that Joe MacBeth had.
When the performance finished, we had about a free hour to go wherever we wanted, shopping, having dunkins of “Dunkins Coffee” and more things that we found in Tarragona.
Finally, we got back to Cambrils and then we went to home.
MACKBETH, by Helena Maymí, 4th ESO A
Last Wednesday, 4ESO and 1 BAT went to Tarragona to see Mackbeth with our English teachers. The bus left at 9.00 o’clock, and we had to be there five or ten minutes before. When we arrived in Tarragona, we walked a little and then we went to have breakfast because we had enough time before the theatre started. I ate some biscuits and chocolate on a bank under the sun. After that, we started walking because we had to return to the theatre. It was time to watch the play! That was good and funny but, in my opinion, it was to short because the play lasted between half an hour and three quarters of an hour. At the end of the play, the actors told us that, if we wanted, we could asked questions to them but nobody asked anything. Later, my friends and I went to Dunkin Coffee. I ate a donut and I drank a coffee with milk. It was delicious! When we were there, we commented the theatrical production and we talked about other things. After that, we went to a large bookshop near the bus station but I didn’t buy any book. When we arrived at the bus station, we took one to come back here. It was a very good day and I had a great time with my classmates. I hope to repeat it soon!
