The functions of the language and its linguistic structures interest the students if they are themselves, with the teacher’s guidance, who build the necessary knowledge to use it both orally and in writing. The 2nd ESO students have reflected on the different linguistic structures that the English language offers to talk about the past, they have played an active role in their acquisition and they have shared their knowledge with their classmates.
