Today, January 31, 2025, is our last day of mobility in France.

Avui, 31 de gener de 2025, és el nostre darrer dia de mobilitat a França.

After getting up and having a good breakfast in the French and thus celebrating the international day of the croissant, we have headed to the George Pompidou Institute. The first two hours we have observed the Spanish classes, where we have been able to participate actively and have conversations with the students who take the subject. Then, we had a meeting with the professor who heads the journalistic research project where they use the audiovisual media to open a door to the outside. We have also been led by the different spaces they have in the institute to develop their media projects.

Després d’aixecar-nos i menjar un bon esmorzar a la francesa i així celebrar el dia internacional del croissant, ens hem dirigit cap a l’institut George Pompidou. Les dues primeres hores hem observat les classes de castellà, on hem pogut participar activament i tenir converses amb l’alumnat que cursa l’assignatura. Seguidament, hem tingut una reunió amb el la professora que encapçala el projecte d’investigació periodística on fan servir el mitjans audiovisuals per obrir una porta cap a l’exterior. També se’ns ha conduït pels diferents espais que tenen a l’institut per desenvolupar els seus projectes mediàtics.

At noon we went to the school where we spent our first two days. There we said goodbye to all the teachers with whom we shared unforgettable moments, such as the choir, the realization of the podcast or the magnificent lunch that we prepared. The boys and girls of the school still remembered with enthusiasm the song “I want to play” that we taught them during our stay.

Al migdia ens hem dirigit a l’escola on vam estar els nostres dos primers dies. Allà ens hem acomiadat de totes les mestres amb qui vam compartir moments inoblidables, com la coral, la realització del podcast o el magnífic dinar que ens vam preparar. Els nens i nenes de l’escola encara recordaven amb il·lusió la cançó “jo vull jugar” que els hi vam ensenyar durant la nostra estada. 

On Friday afternoon we attended Mme Guery’s Art classes. Here the teacher has put on the table the role of art in society and the importance of creative freedom. The students have debated how art can be a tool to express emotions, denounce injustices and communicate ideas. It has been especially interesting to see how everyone has made their own interpretation and artistic creation in a first sketch according to their own experience.

Durant la tarda de divendres hem assistit a les classes d’Art de Mme Guery. Aquí la mestra ha posat sobre la taula el paper de l’art en la societat i la importància de la llibertat creativa. Els alumnes han debatut sobre com l’art pot ser una eina per expressar emocions, denunciar injustícies i comunicar idees. Ha estat especialment interessant veure com cadascú ha fet la seva pròpia interpretació i creació artística en un primer esbós segons la seva pròpia experiència.

These are our last words in this mobility diary, and we want to take the opportunity to record how this experience has enriched us. Knowing the French educational system closely, discovering other ways of doing and exploring the different projects that make it up has opened our eyes even more. We return with a great desire to share everything we have learned with our colleagues.

Aquestes són les nostres darreres paraules en aquest diari de mobilitat, i volem aprofitar per deixar constància de com aquesta experiència ens ha enriquit. Conèixer de prop el sistema educatiu francès, descobrir altres maneres de fer i explorar els diferents projectes que el conformen ens ha obert encara més els ulls. Tornem amb moltes ganes de compartir tot el que hem après amb els nostres companys i companyes.
