From the 21st to the 24th of October, we received the visit of our friends from the school in Świdnica, Poland.
Eight students and two teachers from the Szkola Podstawowa nr 2 im. Polskich Olimpijczyków came to our school to spend time with us. We did a lot of activities and we all had a great experience together.
On Monday, we had a welcome act in our school gym. After that, the 6th graders did 2 presentations to them, one about Cambrils and the other one about Catalonia. The Polish students did a presentation about their town. Then, we did a wonderful EUREKA SCIENCE PROJECT experiment. To end the day, we did an intense P.E. class, to leave sweated home!
On Tuesday, the students from Swidnica taught the 6th graders how to program and use drones. After that, they could learn and play some typical catalan games in P.E. Finally, they played board games and traditional games from their Science project.
On Wednesday, the 6th graders acompanied the Polish students to the beach, where we played all together the “arrenca cebes” game, and later we had a walk around the port ending in the Town Hall (Ajuntament). There we could visit the building and we had a wonderful reception from the Mayor, Mr Alfredo Clua. At the afternoon, they moved to the 1st graders class where they did a Halloween Bat!
On Thursday, we received the Polish students in the 6th graders class, where we did a Kahoot about Cambrils and Świdnica, we played the Wolf game and they taught us a new game called “Catch the Lion”. After the break, we went to the gym and we could close the experience with a big hug, but before leaving we had a great surprise: a Zumba class from our dancing teacher Annabel!
It’s not a goodbye, it’s a “see you soon”!
