English time!

Hi families!

Our students have been working a lot these days. We learned some routines and we practiced them every day before starting class. We always talk about the weather and the date. We can also answer some questions or play an oral game sitting down on the floor in a circle. We love it!

1st GRADERS

During these first weeks of the school year, we worked on vocabulary related to families and emotions through different kinds of activities such as stories, games, songs, crafts, and activities in the book. Here are a couple of photos of a craft that we did.

2nd GRADERS

We have acquired new vocabulary related to the furniture that can be found in the classroom or our homes. Moreover, we have also learned about the different rooms and spaces that a house can have. Something that we enjoy a lot is listening to stories! Here’s a piece of one called: ‘’Where’s Layla?’’

3rd GRADERS

We are learning morning routines. We’ve learned some new vocabulary such as: get up, have a shower, go to school… but we can also say how we go to school. We prepared a chart with the results. And guess what? Most of us come to school by car!

4th GRADERS

We can talk about sports. We learned how to say if we are good or bad at them. We loved the story of this unit and we learned that everybody is good at something.

5th GRADERS

We are learning vocabulary related to countries and nationalities. We are also learning how to say the hours. We were practicing in pairs and it was fun!

6th GRADERS

We are discovering how to use adverbs of manner and we’ve learned how to describe the school: rules, quick facts, school days, etc. It is fantastic to be able to communicate in English!
