Some weeks ago upper cycle students celebrated Pancake Day. This festivity, also known as Shrove Tuesday, dates back to 1445 and it was the last opportunity to use up eggs and fats before the Lent period, and pancakes were the perfect way of using these ingredients. During a week we’ve been learning the history and ways of celebrating Pancake day around Britain, although the best part was the cooking and eating of this delicious treat. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
