At our school, we initiated a new project in CI focused on the correct pronunciation of English sounds to help children learn how to read.

The “Phonics” method explores the phonemes or sounds represented by a single letter or a group of letters (phonological awareness). We work on how these combinations sound. This system allows us to approach the English language from a perspective focused on oral expression and pronunciation beyond the systematic study of grammar and vocabulary.

To make it more enjoyable, we use many games and interactive activities. The results have been amazing. The children can now recognize and correctly pronounce the sounds studied, which has given them more confidence and a desire to read.

The “Phonics” project has been a great help to our students, and we are excited to see how they continue developing their reading skills.

Millorem la lectura en anglès jugant.

Hem iniciat un nou projecte a CI per ajudar els nens i les nenes a aprendre a llegir en anglès de manera divertida i efectiva. El projecte està centrat en la correcta pronunciació dels sons en llengua anglesa.

El mètode “Phonics” treballa la dimensió lectora mitjançant el treball fonètic. Descobrim els fonemes o sons representats amb una única lletra o un grup de lletres (consciència fonològica). Posteriorment, treballem la manera com es combinen els diferents sons, que serà la base per a l’aprenentatge de la lectura i l’escriptura. Aquest sistema ens permet aproximar-nos a la llengua des d’una perspectiva focalitzada en l’expressió oral i la pronúncia, més enllà de l’estudi sistemàtic de la gramàtica i del vocabulari.

Utilitzem molts jocs i activitats interactives. Els resultats han estat sorprenents! Els i les alumnes ara poden reconèixer i pronunciar amb correcció els sons treballats i això els ha donat més confiança i ganes de llegir.
