Last Tuesday, March 21st, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students had the opportunity to enjoy a Scottish dance workshop and learn some steps of Céilidh, a popular form of folk dancing in Scotland.
David Vivanco visited our school and led this fabulous session in which all our students learned some of the most popular Scottish traditions, songs and dances. They were able to improve their English in a very fun and exciting way, socialize with their classmates and dance with their teachers, which was an unexpected bonus.
After the workshop, they all agreed that they had had a great time and that they would like to do it again in the future, either here at the school or there, in the magnificent scenery of the Scottish Highlands.
Dimarts passat 21 de març, els alumnes de 4t, 5è i 6è curs van tenir l’oportunitat de gaudir d’un taller de dansa escocesa i aprendre alguns passos de Céilidh, una forma popular de ball folklòric a Escòcia.
David Vivanco va visitar la nostra escola i va dirigir aquesta fabulosa sessió en la qual tots els nostres alumnes van aprendre algunes de les tradicions, cançons i balls escocesos més populars. Així, van poder millorar el seu anglès d’una forma molt divertida i emocionant, socialitzar amb els seus companys i ballar amb els seus mestres, la qual cosa va suposar un plus inesperat.
Després del taller, tots van coincidir que s’ho havien passat molt bé i en que els venia de gust repetir-lo en el futur, fos aquí a l’escola o allà, en el magnífic paisatge de les Highlands escoceses.
