The PTT (Pla de Transició al Treball, ‘work transition plan’) is a PFI (Programa de Formació i Inserció, ‘training and employability program’) organised collaboratively between Girona City Council and the Department of Education of Generalitat de Catalunya. It is addressed to young students not having obtained the Compulsory Secondary Education certificate. Its main objectives are:
- Provide the competences allowing students to labor insertion or continue their training, either in middle-degree training programs or in the Adult School.
- Advice and personalised attention plan.
- General training and professional training recognised with the professionalism certificate.
The educational benefits for the students superen con provecho the program are:
- Being able to access directly the Middle-Degree Training Programs.
- Being able to obtain the Compulsory Secondary Education certificate in the Adult School once the course is finished without being 18 years old.
The duration of the program is an academic year, from September to June. It offers the General Training Modules and the ones in Professional Training (1000 hours).
The requisites to be part of the program are:
- Being older than 16 years old and younger than 21 years old
- Not having obtained the Compusory Secondary Education certificate
- Interest in employability courses
- Voluntary access and commitment of participation, attendance and work
