Dear families,
During this week, we have celebrated the English Week at school. English Week at school is a time of celebration, creativity, and learning. This year, as part of English Week, we’re focusing on a crucial topic: Responsible Shopping and how it connects to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Each course, from I3 to 6th grade, has focused on a type of shop to work on responsible consumption, and has asked the question: “Do I really need to buy this? Or do I just want it?”
The preschool children have focused on the toy shop, and have created their own toy. The first grade children have worked on the pets and their care. Boys and girls of second grade, the greengrocer shop, where the importance of buying local and seasonal fruit and vegetables has been highlighted. Third grade pupils, the bookshop, and have made their own desk organizer. Fourth grade they have learned concepts such as brand, sustainability, eco-friendly, etc., from the sports shop, and have reflected this knowledge in a Kahoot. The fifth grade children have worked on the technology shop, and have created their own poster through Canva. Finally, the sixth graders have created a Lapbook about the music shop.
In addition, during the week we have enjoyed interesting activities such as the fifth graders becoming storytellers for the little ones, and watching a play in English by the company LookOut!.
