Year 5 & 6 e-twinning

5th and 6th grade students have participated in an eTwinning project with students from Romania. Firstly, we made and sent some postcards congratulating Easter to our Romanian classmates. Later, in order to meet us in person, we did an online video call and we introduced each other. Finally, we asked them about how Easter is celebrated there. It has been a very enriching online exchange!

alumnes de 5è i 6è hem participat en un projecte eTwinning amb alumnes de Romania. Primerament, hem elaborat i enviat unes postals felicitant la pasqua als nostres companys/es romans. Després, per tal de conèixer-nos en persona, hem realitzat unes trucades virtuals amb ells i elles on ens hem presentat i hem fet preguntes sobre com es celebra la pasqua allà. Ha estat un intercanvi virtual molt enriquidor!

YEAR 1. Our Easter tradition (Etwinning)

Each country celebrates Easter differently, so in Year 1 we decided to prepare a brief visual explanation of how we celebrate it, and we are going to send it to our partners from Turkey and Romania. We told them that we eat a “Mona” decorated with feathers, chicks and chocolate eggs and that we also celebrate Palm Day.

A cada país celebren la Pasqua d’una manera diferent, així que a 1r hem decidit fer una petita explicació visual de com ho celebrem nosaltres i enviar-ho a les nostres parelles de Turquia i Romania. Els hem explicat que mengem una Mona decorada amb plomes, pollets i ous de xocolata i que també celebrem el dia de la palma i el palmó.

Easter is here and we are preparing a very special card to send to our partners from Romania and Turkey. As you can see, we are very busy colouring and decorating our Easter eggs. They look amazing, don’t you think? We hope they love it!

YEAR 1. Easter rabbit little box

In order to celebrate Easter at school, in the English class, children from Year 1 have been learning and practising the most important vocabulary, and they have done an online Easter hunt to find and count the chocolate eggs. They have also been colouring and decorating a rabbit-shaped box to put two chocolate eggs inside. Look how beautiful they are!

Per a celebrar la Pasqua a l’escola, des de l’àrea de llengua anglesa, els nens i nenes de 1r han estat aprenent i practicant el vocabulari més important i han fet una Easter hunt online per a buscar i contar els ous de xocolata. També han estat pintant, decorant i muntant una caixa en forma de conill per a posar-hi dos ous de xocolata a dins. Mireu que bé que ens han quedat!

Year 3 participates in an eTwinning! / A 3r participem a un eTwinning!

Year 3 students are participating in an eTwinning project with Greece and Turkey countries. It is called “Let’s exchange Easter cards”. First of all, pupils have prepared some videos showing their schools, the Easter traditions in each country and some personal information. Then, we have paired the students so that each of them will prepare and exchange an Easter card with a student from abroad. Here you can watch some videos from the students as well as some photos while they’re preparing the Easter cards. They are looking forward to receiving their Easter cards from abroad!

Els nens i les nenes de 3r estem participant a un projecte eTwinning amb els països de Grècia i Turquia. Es titula: Intercanviem postals de pasqua! Primerament, els alumnes han preparat alguns videos ensenyant les seves escoles, les seves tradicions de pasqua i una mica d’informació personal. Després, hem aparellat els infants de manera que cadascun d’ells prepararà i intercanviarà una postal de pasqua amb un alumne d’un altre país. Aquí podeu veure alguns dels vídeos dels nens i nenes i també algunes fotografies de mentre preparaven les seves postals de pasqua. Tenen moltes ganes de rebre les postals de pasqua dels altres països!

Year 1 students are participating in an Etwinning project called “Friendly Eggs for Easter” and based on the Easter festivity. In this project, we are in contact with students from Turkey and Romania. Here you can see the videos we have done presenting us and saying our name, age, favourite colour and hobby. As an answer, we are now receiving their presentations from abroad. We are really excited and we hope you like it! 

Els alumnes de primer de primària participem en un Etwinning anomenat “Friendly Eggs for Easter” i basat en la festivitat de Pasqua. En aquest projecte estem en contacte amb nens i nenes de Turquia i Romania. Us deixem els vídeos que els hem enviat, presentant-nos i dient el nostre nom, edat, el color preferit i el que més ens agrada fer. Com a resposta estem revent totes les seves presentacions. Estem molt contents i esperem que us agradi!

English Day at Granullarius School!

ENGLISH

On the 24th of February we celebrated the English Day. This year the primary topic has been the countries, taking into account that each class represents one. We gave the students a passport with a page from each country they studied. We played three games in which they won the different stickers for their passport: “Bamboozle” (cultural quiz), “It’s time for lunch” (students asked the chefs for some typical food from the countries they studied) and “take the flag” (in teams they had to answer some questions about the monuments, flags and food and run to take the correct flag). At the end of the day, pupils brought home a passport with all the stickers of food, monuments and flags that they won at the different activities. 

In reference to infant education, the topic was the animals, bearing in mind each class also represents an animal. First, we listened to different songs related to our animals, so we could sing and dance a lot. Then, we played a memory game about animals and colors. It was very funny!

It has been an amazing day! Next year, more!

El dia 24 de febrer vam celebrar l’English Day. Aquest any el tema de primària ha estat els països, tenint en compte que cada classe en representa un. Vam donar als alumnes un passaport amb una pàgina de cada país que han estudiat. Vam jugar a tres jocs en els quals guanyaven les diferents enganxines pel seu passaport: “Bamboozle” (concurs de preguntes culturals), “It’s time for lunch” (els alumnes demanaven als xefs menjar típic dels països que han estudiat) i “take the flag” (en equips havien de contestar algunes preguntes sobre els monuments, banderes i menjar i córrer per agafar la bandera correcta. Al final del dia, tots els nens i nenes es van endur el seu passaport omplert amb totes les enganxines de menjar, monuments i banderes que havien anat guanyant a les diverses activitats.

En referència a educació infantil, el tema va ser els animals, tenint present que cada classe també en representa un. Primer, vam escoltar diferents cançons relacionades amb els nostres animals i vam cantar i ballar molt. Després, vam jugar a un joc de memòria sobre els animals i els colors. Va ser molt divertit!

Ha estat un dia increïble! El proper any, més!
