Hello, class of 2022. My name is Natalie Rose Woods and I am 22 years old and from Scotland. I come from a town called Dunfermline in Fife which is near Edinburgh. (Fun fact- Dunfermline was Scotland’s capital until 1437!)
I lived in Dunfermline until I was 18 years old and then I moved to Dundee where I began university. My passions at school were Health, Nutrition, and Physical Education which led me to study Nutrition for 4 years at Abertay University. I lived in this city for 4 years until I graduated in July 2022 after obtaining a Bachelors of Science 2.1 degree. I then moved back to Dunfermline and worked in a health food store where I provided nutritional advice. Now, I have moved to Lleida to begin my internship at Escola Enric Farreny where I am teaching Physical Education classes alongside English and will be with you until May 2023!
I have been in Lleida for 1 week and I am currently adjusting to the climate here. Many people have told me that summer is coming to an end in Lleida but I disagree! So far, I have experienced many beautiful sunny days here which is extremely different from Scotland where we can experience all 4 seasons in 1 day! My friends back in Scotland will be extremely jealous of my tan!:)
I have always loved reading as a child and now you will frequently see me with a book in my bag. (Fiction and self-help books are my favourite!) I attend the gym 3-4x a week where I enjoy lifting weights and I mix my training up with fitness classes. Also, I love yoga and pilates and attended a Studio back home so it is now my mission to find a Studio here in Lleida to join!
I am immensely excited to have the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus programme as it allows me to use the skills I learned at university and apply them to the workplace. Escola Enric Farreny has been so welcoming and has made me feel part of a family already. I look forward to my journey and how I can teach and inspire the children here.
