On Monday 3rd December 6th graders from Enric Farreny Primary School went to Campus from Education College of UdL in order to overcome a mission.
Three University students of the degree of Primary Education specialized in English, prepared the mission for the boys and girls.
The introduction was “four young turtles got lost in the Mediterranean Sea” and the students had to solve four activities in groups to help the turtles to find their way back home. The class was divided in four groups, each one represented one turtle. If the group was able to overtake an activity, they got a clue.
One activity consisted of classifying some true and false sentences about the Mediterranean Sea and correcting the false ones. Another exercise was to perform with mimics some vocabulary words. Afterwards, the students had to divide the 21 countries of the Mediterranean region, according to the continent they belong to. The last exercise was about ordering letters to create words of some Mediterranean food.
In the end, all the groups got different clues and they shared them to guess the final message:
- Look for the stairs.
- Go upstairs with the others.
- Find the classroom 0.18
- and find the large rock.
Finally, once the students completed the mission, they got an award!
It was a pleasure to have the Enric Farreny students at the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work. We were very happy to see how much English they know and how interested they are in learning about other cultures. Many thanks for coming!!!
