This week we said goodbye to Natalie, our language volunteer from Minnesota (USA), who has been with us for two months. Every Thursday, a group of children from 3rd to 6th grade had the opportunity to share an English session with her, where we played games to practise spoken English.
The children gave her drawings and creations they made to thank her for her volunteering, and she brought us gifts from her country.

Aquesta setmana ens hem acomiadat de la Natalie, la nostra voluntària lingüística de Minnesota (EUA), que ha estat amb nosaltres durant dos mesos. Cada dijous, un grup d’alumnes de 3r a 6è ha tingut l’oportunitat de compartir una sessió d’anglès amb ella, on vam jugar a jocs per practicar l’anglès oral.
L’alumnat li ha regalat dibuixos i creacions fetes per ells/es per agrair-li el seu voluntariat i la seva ajuda, i ella ens ha portat regals del seu país.

This morning, Pre-school students went to the theatre to see a play in english called ‘Jack and the magic beans’. Last days in class, they learned vocabulary related to the play and listened to the songs. They had a great time with Jack and all the characters!
Aquest matí, l’alumnat d’Educació Infantil ha anat al teatre a veure una obra en anglès titulada ‘Jack and the magic beans’. Els últims dies a classe han après el vocabulari relacionat amb l’obra i han escoltat les cançons. Ho han passat genial amb en Jack i tots els personatges!
Yesterday, the middle school students (third and fourth) went to the Regina Theater in Barcelona to see the English play, Cinderella New York. We had a great time while learning English, enjoying the theater.

These days, 2nd graders have written a postcard for their penpals. The children have explained what they are wearing for Carnival. Soon they will also receive the letter that their penpals, from Ausiàs March school, have written to them.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, children have written what they love about them and all the things they love to do. It has been amazing to share it!

This school year 2nd graders are really excited about the idea to have a penpal. This week children have written letters for them. All the letters have already departed for its destination: Ausiàs March School in Hospitalet.
