Last Wednesday our school celebrated the Pancakes Day. Traditional feast before the start of Lent -40 days leading up to Easter- time to fasting and shove. As we study English Language, we think that include some cultural celebrations is an important aspect to consider.
Our students enjoyed cooking the traditional Pancakes: a cake made with representatives ingredients: eggs representing the Creation; flour, the staff of life; milk, Purity;and salt, wholesomeness. Our Pancakes menu were: Sugar Pancakes, Chocolate Pancakes, Cheese Pancakes and Ham pancakes.
Also, we do some activities related with the day, as dessining cakes and recipees.
Eventually the most anxious awaited moment of the day, they ate the delicious pancakes.No pancakes left over!
