El dilluns 26 de gener, els professors de l’Institut Roquetes, l’Institut Dertosa i d’instituts de França, Romania i Itàlia van participar en la primera reunió conjunta amb els estudiants dins del projecte eTwinning Ad Astra. Aquesta trobada va marcar l’inici d’una col·laboració internacional amb l’objectiu de fomentar l’aprenentatge compartit, la lectura i la discussió crítica entre els alumnes de batxillerat.
Durant la sessió, vam organitzar un club de lectura virtual sobre la novel·la “The Time Machine” de H.G. Wells. Els estudiants van tindre l’oportunitat de parlar sobre les seues impressions i idees sobre el llibre, de manera que van poder compartir els seus punts de vista i aprendre els uns dels altres. La discussió va incloure temes com el viatge en el temps, els canvis socials i la reflexió sobre el futur, tot adaptat al nivell dels estudiants.
Al final de la sessió, vam realitzar un quiz sobre la novel·la, que va permetre revisar els continguts treballats i va fomentar la participació de tots els alumnes. Aquesta activitat va resultar molt motivadora i pedagògicament molt enriquidora, ja que combina lectura, comprensió, debat i activitats lúdiques en un entorn digital col·laboratiu.
La trobada va ser també una oportunitat per als professors de diferents països per intercanviar experiències educatives, estratègies de treball i idees per continuar el projecte al llarg de l’any. Aquest tipus d’activitats contribueix a desenvolupar competències interculturals i lingüístiques, així com a reforçar la motivació de l’alumnat per participar en projectes internacionals.
En resum, la primera trobada del projecte eTwinning Ad Astra va ser un èxit i un pas important per consolidar la col·laboració entre els instituts participants i enriquir l’aprenentatge dels estudiants a través de la lectura i la reflexió conjunta.
First Meeting with Students – eTwinning Ad Astra Project
On Monday, January 26, teachers from Institut Roquetes, Institut Dertosa, and teachers from schools in France, Romania, and Italy took part in the first joint meeting with students as part of the eTwinning Ad Astra project. This meeting marked the beginning of an international collaboration aimed at promoting shared learning, reading, and critical discussion among high school students.
During the session, we held a virtual book club about the novel “The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells. Students had the opportunity to discuss their impressions and ideas about the book, share their viewpoints, and learn from each other. The discussion included topics such as time travel, social changes, and reflections on the future, all adapted to the students’ level.
At the end of the session, we conducted a quiz about the novel, which allowed students to review what they had learned and encouraged participation from everyone. This activity was highly motivating and pedagogically very enriching, as it combines reading, comprehension, discussion, and interactive activities in a collaborative digital environment.
The meeting was also an opportunity for teachers from different countries to exchange educational experiences, teaching strategies, and ideas for continuing the project throughout the year. Activities like this help develop intercultural and language skills while reinforcing students’ motivation to participate in international projects.
