Yesterday, 23rd May 2019, we celebrated the second edition of English Day at our school. The whole main purpose was again to boost the use of the English language by as many teachers as possible. Most of them prepared a special unit in which some CLIL activities were carried out for the students so that they felt that on that day, the English language was the real tool of communication at the school. At least, we wanted to make sure that each group of our students was going to have the chance of having an extra hour of English taught by a non-specifically English teacher. Thus, lots of other subject´s teachers volunteer at preparing and carrying out a special unit for the occasion.

Furthermore, after the regular half an hour break our students usually have, we did some traditional English games at the entrance of our High School with students of 1st ESO. The games were the following ones: Bobbing for apples, pin the tail on the donkey, doughnuts on a string, get the handkerchief and some sack racing.

Finally, I would like to pinpoint the fact that we had some reporters from Hospitalet TV and Radio Station that were summoned to come and cover the activities carried out throughout the whole day. Thererefore, our students were being filmed while doing all the different tasks and games in English, and this amazing material is already being posted on the web of our center.
