Descobrim Liu Xiaodong a l’aula de GEP
Aquest tercer trimestre, l’alumnat de 5è ha estat immers en un viatge creatiu molt especial dins l’assignatura de GEP. El nostre punt de partida ha estat l’obra de Liu Xiaodong, un reconegut artista contemporani xinès que es caracteritza per captar escenes quotidianes amb una mirada plena d’empatia. Xiaodong pinta la vida tal com és: moments reals, persones reals i entorns que expliquen històries.
Amb aquest enfocament tan humà i proper, els alumnes han treballat el seu propi “mirar artístic”. Cada infant ha portat una fotografia espontània, un instant que els agradés especialment. Aquestes imatges, plenes de naturalitat i emoció, han estat la base per crear la seva pròpia obra d’art. Primer han fet un dibuix, i després l’han pintat amb aquarel·les, seguint l’esperit de Xiaodong: capturar l’essència d’un moment real i fer-ne una peça artística única.
Com a colofó final d’aquest procés creatiu, s’ha organitzat una exposició interna al passadís de Primària on apareixen les seves creacions amb les fotografies originals que els han inspirat. És una autèntica galeria d’emocions, colors i mirades que reflecteixen la sensibilitat i la creativitat dels alumnes.
Discovering Liu Xiaodong in GEP Class
This third term, Year 5 students have embarked on a very special creative journey in their GEP lessons. The starting point was the work of Liu Xiaodong, a renowned contemporary Chinese artist known for capturing everyday scenes with a deeply empathetic gaze. Xiaodong paints life as it is: real moments, real people, and environments that tell stories.
With this approach in mind, the students worked on developing their own artistic vision. Each child brought to the class a spontaneous photograph — a candid moment they especially liked. These images, full of emotion and naturalness, served as the basis for their personal works of art. First, they created a drawing, and then they painted it using watercolours, inspired by Xiaodong’s spirit of capturing the essence of real life in artistic form.
As the final touch to this creative process, an internal exhibition has been set up in the Primary corridor, displaying the students’ artworks alongside the original photographs that had inspired them. It is a true gallery of emotions, colours, and perspectives that reflect the students’ sensitivity and creativity.
