I am very pleased to inform all of you that we already have a group selected to participate in the Fonix contest of this year 2019.

It is an English school competition designed to promote the learning of the English language of the 5th and 6th grade students. Every year, the organization (promoted by the Cambridge University, Netlanguages, Camp Rialp Andorra and Fundesplai) choses a topic to work on during more or less, a couple of months.

The aim is to work on 4 different aspects:

  1. The development of critical and thoughtful thinking.
  2. The resolution of problems and the search for creative solutions.
  3. The use of digital environments and transmedia communication.
  4. The work of values related to ethical issues set by UNESCO 2030 for sustainable development, equity, solidarity and social cohesion.

In the end, the students have to send a video in groups of 3-4 to the organization, and after a period of votations and evaluation, a group between different schools in Catalonia is chosen by a jury to be the winner of the Fonix 2019.

This year, the topic of the contest is “Gender equality in sports”, and all the students of 5th and 6th grades have worked VERY HARD to produce the best works. Finally, the project that meets all the objectives of the competition is the one below, a production of Esther Grosso Mouzo (5th) and Andrea Peláez Montañés (6th). I hope you enjoyed like I have done watching it!

Thank you and congratulations to THE REST OF THE GROUPS, which have also done a very good job, I will share them with the community in short.
