Museu Terra i la Cova de la Font Major

Avui l’alumnat de CM i CS ha tingut l’oportunitat de visitar dos punts molt atractius de l’Espluga de Francolí: el Museu Terra i la Cova de la Font Major.

A la cova han pogut veure com va ser la vida dels primers humans en una de les coves de conglomerat més grans del món, mentre que al Museu s’han endinsat en etapes més recents de la història i han pogut crear un bee wrap amb cera d’abella i un tros de roba de cotó.

Ha estat una experiència molt enriquidora i han participat molt!

MIXING REALISM WITH FANTASY LIKE FRIDA KAHLO

This last term we discover Frida Kahlo, a Mexican painter known for her many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico. Her paintings often had strong autobiographical elements and mixed realism with fantasy. Some of his best-known works include the paintings Memory, The Heart and Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird.

NATURAL FORMS WITH GEORGIA O’KEEFFE

This last term we study Georgia O’keeffe, an American modernist painter and draftswoman. She was called the “Mother of American modernism”. O’Keeffe gained international recognition for her meticulous paintings of natural forms, particularly flowers and desert-inspired landscapes, which were often drawn from and related to places and environments in which she lived.

ANDY WARHOL

This term we study Andy Warhol. He was an American visual artist, film director, producer and leading figure in the Pop Art movement. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, advertising, and celebrity culture and span a variety of media, including painting, silkscreening, photography, film and sculpture. Some of his best-known works include the silkscreen paintings Campbell’s Soup Cans and Marilyn Diptych.

ANTONI GAUDÍ: WE ARE INSPIRED BY NATURE!

This term we have learnt about Antoni Gaudí and his most famous artworks. He was a Catalan architect, known as the greatest exponent of Modernism. Gaudi’s works have a highly individualized style. Most are located in Barcelona, including his main work, the Sagrada Família.

Gaudí’s work was influenced by his passions in life: architecture, nature and religion. He considered every detail of his creations and integrated them into his architecture such crafts as ceramics, stained glass, ironwork forging, and carpentry.

PAUL KLEE: EXPERIMENTING WITH COLOR!

This term we have known Paul Klee and his most famous artworks.

Paul klee was a Swiss-born German artist. His style was influenced by movements in art that included expressionism, cubism and surrealism. Klee was a natural draftsman who experimented with and eventually deeply explored color theory. His works reflect his dry humor and his sometimes childlike perspective, his personal moods and beliefs, and his musicality.

DISCOVERING THE LINK BETWEEN EDITH SCHAAR AND NATURE!

Since Edith Schaar was very young, nature has been her source of inspiration and marks her artistic work. Edith’s traveling spirit has led her to visit different cities and countries.

At the end of the eighties she settled in La Floresta, where she continues her intense creative work, full of color and life.
