Since speaking is the most natural language skill, in our English department we encourage the use of spoken language to prepare students for authentic situations: introducing themselves, asking for information, describing, explaining… This gives meaning to learning and increases motivation.
Introducing students to festivals in English-speaking countries it’s important because it allows them to understand and respect other cultures, contextualizes language learning in real-life situations (where they learn vocabulary, expressions, songs, stories, etc.), and increases motivation through dynamic and meaningful activities. Furthermore, it fosters intercultural competence, opening a window to a global and diverse world.
We would like to thank the families for their support in helping their children create all the fantastic crafts, which allows us to make learning more dynamic and engaging in our classes.
