The evening English groups went on a visit to see the Menhir of Mollet at the Can Mulà Library. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the town’s history and culture while practicing English outside the classroom.

Last week, I had the pleasure of sharing a wonderful experience with my classmates. We went to see the Menhir of Mollet, where we attend to a kind of lecture. Although, I didn’t understand everything I learnt a little about its history, its features and meaning. It was a pleasant evening!
I.P (ANG 3 T)
Last Wednesday, I visited the Menhir of Mollet with my English classmates. The visit was very interesting to know more history of my town. The visit was in English and the tourguide tried to make it easy for us because our level is still low and thanks to it I could understand an important part of her explanations. It is very important to do these visits to improve our listening.

I enjoyed visiting the Menhir. It was difficult to understand the entire explanations but I understood that it measures 4.90m and weighs 6 tons. It is thought, it may have travelled to where they found it through water. There are engraved shapes of snakes, female forms and the representations of a bull that means strenght. Ancient cultures believed in gods to ask for protection and good harvests.
