AT YEAR 3, WE LEARN ENGLISH WITH THE TABLETS!
Some days ago we practiced the classroom material and the most used verbs at English class with the tablets. As we had previously learned the vocabulary, we did some online games: word searches, matching activities… We had a lot of fun!

Fa uns dies, vam estar practicant amb les tablets el material de classe i els verbs més utilitzats a l’aula. Com que ja ens havíem après aquest vocabulari prèviament, vam jugar a diferents jocs en línia: sopes de lletres, activitats de relacionar… Ens ho vam passar molt bé!

Hem acabat aquest tercer trimestre llegint alguns llibres en anglès. Volem compartir amb vosaltres “‘Eddie’s exercise”, un lleó valent que li agrada fer exercici, jugar a futbol, córrer i tocar-se els dits.

At this 3rd term we have also been doing a cross-curricular project called Save the Earth. First of all, we watched a couple of videos to understand the current problem of our planet: the Earth is getting more and more polluted, so we need to take action! Then, we did a brainstorming session with ideas of what we can personally do to achieve a healthier planet. After that, we organized five cooperative groups, each of them in charge of investigating one of these key actions we decided from the brainstorming: the three Rs, save water, responsible use of energies, less cars and paperless. Once the teams got all the necessary information from the internet (webquest links), they prepared a poster. Finally, they did an oral exposition to the rest of the class and they self and peer assessed each other. It has been such an interesting project!
Durant aquest tercer trimestre també hem estat fent un projecte interdisciplinar anomenat Salvem el planeta. Primerament, hem vist un parell de videos per entendre el problema que actualment té el nostre planeta: la Terra està cada cop més contaminada, o sigui que hem d’actuar! A continuació, vam fer una pluja d’idees sobre què podem fer nosaltres personalment per aconseguir un planeta més sa. Després d’això, vam organitzar cinc grups cooperatius, cadascun d’ells encarregat d’investigar una d’aquestes accions clau decidides a la pluja d’idees: les tres Rs, estalviar aigua, ús responsable de les energies, menys cotxes i menys paper. Un cop els equips van aconseguir tota la informació necessària d’internet (links de la webquest), van preparar un pòster. Finalment, van fer una exposició a la resta de la classe i es van auto i coavaluar entre ells. Ha estat un projecte molt interessant!
At Arts & Crafts we have been doing a project of the artist Gustav Klimt. First of all, we watched a video of his life and main productions and we played a Kahoot quiz about it. Later, we decided to reproduce one of his productions, the Tree of Life, with gold and colour sequins. Hence, we learned all the necessary material and structures to do it. It has been very funny and interesting! Look at the result!
Des de plàstica estem fent un projecte sobre l’artista Gustav Klimt. Primerament, vam veure un vídeo sobre la seva vida i obres principals i vam jugar a un Kahoot amb preguntes sobre el tema. Després, vam decidir reproduir una de les seves obres, l’arbre de la vida, amb lluentons daurats i de colors. Així doncs, vam aprendre tot el vocabulari necessari i les estructures gramaticals per dur-ho a terme. Ha estat molt divertit i interessant! Mireu el resultat!

To help our students speak in English during the class, we have prepared a short video with some useful sentences, vocabulary and action verbs related to classroom language. Wonderful job everyone!

This second term the first grade students we have done activities in English related with the names of our classes:
-1st grade A played an outdoor game called “Catch the dragon’s tail”, that consisted in make two dragons and catch the tail of each one.
-1st grade B created invisible ink with lemon juice to write secret messages. A trick used by Harry Potter!
-1st grade C sang a song about pets.
We have enjoyed all the three activities and we wanted to share with you some pictures, videos and the song.

Aquest segon trimestre els alumnes de primer de primària hem realitzat activitats en anglès relacionades amb els noms de les nostres classes:
-1r A va jugar a un joc a l’aire lliure anomenat “Agafa la cua del drac”, que consistia en fer dos dracs i agafar la cua de cadascun.
-1r B va crear tinta invisible amb suc de llimona per escriure missatges secrets. Un truc utilitzat per Harry Potter!
-1r C va cantar una cançó sobre mascotes.
Hem gaudit de les tres activitats i volíem compartir amb vosaltres algunes imatges, vídeos i la cançó.
Hello families,
This second term we have started our participation in an Etwinning project that consists in introducing pupils to the town where they live and the clothes they wear according to the season. Additionally, to share some games they play on the playground. We have doing this project with schools from Turkey, France and Catalonia.
We have done the first activity. It was about the creation of the logo that will identify the project. Each class will participate doing one of the three activities. The first have been done by “How to teach a dragon” class. The following ones will be uploaded here, too.
We want to share with you the pictures and the logos we have created.

Aquest segon trimestre hem iniciat la nostra participació en un projecte Etwinning que consisteix a introduir els alumnes a la ciutat on viuen i la roba que porten segons la temporada. A més, per compartir alguns jocs que juguen al pati. Aquest projecte el fem amb escoles de Turquia, França i Catalunya.
Hem fet la primera activitat. Es tractava de crear el logotip que identificarà el projecte. Cada classe participarà fent una de les tres activitats. La primera l’ha feta la classe “Com entrenar el teu drac”. Les properes les penjarem aquí, també.
Volem compartir amb vosaltres les fotografies i els logos que hem creat.
