El passat dia 13 de setembre els alumnes de 1r de Batxillerat vam tenir la sort de rebre una visita molt especial.
En Javier Rivera Hernández era un jove més del barri que en acabar 2n BATX i gràcies a la seva perseverança i dedicació va aconseguir una beca per estudiar física al Saint Mary’s College de Califòrnia, USA. Actualment, continua vivint a la West Coast i recentment ha trobat feina en una start up.
Ens ha regalat el seu temps per ajudar-nos a entendre el procés que va seguir fins a poder arribar a complir els seus somnis.
Un exemple inspirador de com amb ganes i il·lusió, travessar oceans que semblen insondables és possible!!
Last September 13th, 1st Batxillerat students were fortunate to enjoy a very special visit.
A few years ago, Javier Rivera Hernández was a young Batxillerat student from our neighbourhood who after finishing his high school degree and driven by his enthusiasm and dedication got a university scholarship to study physics at Saint Mary’s College of California, USA. Nowadays, he is still living on the West Coast and has recently found a job at a start-up.
He has been kind enough to freely offer us some of his time and help us understand the process he went through to be able to accomplish his dream of studying abroad.
An inspiring example of how with goodwill and determination, it is possible to make your dreams come true!!
