This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from IGS Sassenburg, Gifhorn in Lower Saxony, as part of the Erasmus+ exchange program. The German students arrived on Wednesday in Barcelona, where they spent their first night exploring the vibrant capital of Catalonia.
On Thursday, March 13, they joined the German language students from Institut Dertosa for an exciting day of sightseeing in Barcelona. The visit was filled with cultural discoveries, learning, and the forging of new friendships between students from both schools.
Unfortunately, the rain on Friday disrupted the planned series of literary activities. However, the day was brightened by a delightful breakfast kindly provided by local host families. The event featured speeches from the headmistress of Institut Dertosa, Francina Prades, and one of the German coordinators, Inga Berneburg, who both emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and the value of the Erasmus+ program.
Despite the weather, the exchange program continues to create meaningful experiences for everyone involved, fostering connections that transcend borders and languages. We look forward to more enriching moments in the days to come.
