Last Sunday was a day of enriching cultural activities for the students and teachers from IGS Sasenberg and Institut de Roquetes, who are participating in the Erasmus+ program. The event offered a glimpse into the traditions and heritage of the local region, creating memorable experiences for all involved.
Some participants embraced the vibrant local tradition of calçotades, enjoying this unique Catalan culinary event with their host families. Meanwhile, others traveled to Benicarló to witness the famous Falles, a deeply rooted cultural festivity in the area, renowned for its impressive artistry and lively atmosphere.
Another group visited the iconic Templar Tower of Campredó, a historical site that holds significance far beyond its medieval origins. This landmark also features graffiti from the Spanish Civil War and showcases an ongoing interpretation project about the International Brigades, connecting history with a global narrative.
These diverse activities provided a wonderful opportunity for cultural immersion, fostering connections and understanding between the Erasmus+ participants and the local community.
