Avui hem fet una sessió d’Eco-Snorkel on hem conegut els principals impactes dels plàstics a les platges. Una experiència que ens ha permès sensibilitzar-nos amb el medi ambient i descobrir com arriben les deixalles al mar, quant triguen a degradar-se i quins són els més comuns a les platges de Barcelona.

Els alumnes s’han posat el neoprè per anar a l’aigua a recollir residus per, després, analitzar com havien arribat fins a la platja. A continuació, alumnes i monitors hem pesat i classificat els diferents tipus de brutícia recollida. Per finalitzar, hem acabat fent una reflexió grupal sobre allò que s’ha de fer per evitar contaminar el mar i el medi ambient.

En resum, avui ha estat un dia espectacular, amb un sol radiant que ens ha fet gaudir de tot el matí a la platja com si fos un dia d’estiu.

Today we took part in an Eco-Snorkel session, where we learned about the main impacts of plastics on beaches. It was an experience that helped us raise awareness about the environment and understand how waste reaches the sea, how long it takes to decompose, and which types are most commonly found on the beaches of Barcelona.

The students put on wetsuits and went into the water to collect waste, which we later analyzed to figure out how it had ended up on the beach. Afterwards, both students and instructors weighed and classified the different types of litter collected. To wrap up the session, we held a group reflection on what can be done to avoid polluting the sea and the environment.

In summary, today was a spectacular day, with bright sunshine that made us enjoy the whole morning at the beach as if it were a summer day.
