“THE ROPE” (by M.F.)
Last Friday morning a man burst into our class and asked for permission
before calling his girlfriend for, what seemed to be, the 20 th time that day.
Obviously, it was all part of a play, with a discussion about it afterwards,
which our teachers had previously agreed to.
After this sudden beginning he just talked about his girlfriend and how he
thought she was being unfaithful to him.
The way he explained it made us realize how toxic their relationship was.
The play itself didn’t last longer than half an hour but after it, he , as an
actor, asked us about what we thought about the kind of relationship and
behaviour showed in it.
To sum up; it was a great way to introduce such a topic in a class full of
people our age and though at times it was a bit boring, he performed quite
well.
