Students from 2AG10 in Pla d’Impuls in English were requested to prepare their own job interviews. In pairs, roles were chosen, one being the job hunter candidate whereas the other being the HR (Human Resources) manager.
After working on their dialogues in class, students showed up wearing their elegant clothes ready for the interview that took place last Friday 8th of November.
Thought-provoking questions like these ones What motivates you at work? What makes you get up every day and give the best of yourself?, How do you manage daily and stressful situations at work?, What would you do if there was a problem with your team mates?, How can you cope with tight deadlines? were successfully answered by our 2AG10 future administrative assistants, heads of department, marketing or HR directors.
Not only English speaking skills had been improved but also their communicative ones such as welcoming and making the candidate feel at ease at the beginning of their presentation; as well as keeping dialogue markers smoothly in like (well done, that sounds great, amazing) and, finally, thanking him or her at the end of the interview.
Teachers in 2AG10 want to congratulate them all on their outstanding and convincing performances wishing that this significant learning experience will help them forever.
