Després d’haver llegit el conte “PETE’S A PIZZA” de William Steig, hem creat la nostra pizza preferida. Després l’hem elaborat amb pasta de sal tot afegint-hi els ingredients fets de plastilina. 🍕

Aquesta setmana els nens i nenes de Cicle Mitjà han teatralitzat el conte Room on the Broom en llengua anglesa en motiu de la celebració de Halloween. 🎃👻

Last week we finished the stations in English. Students had to visit each of the eight stations we had prepared for them. There was a variety of skills to reinforce; listening, vocabulary or grammar, to mention some.
Every day they had to visit two of the stations and were not allowed to repeat. They enjoyed, especially with the listening (a song) and one of the vocabulary games (charades) as well as with the ‘Duo Lingo’ (grammar).
They are looking forward to doing it again.

This last two weeks we’ve been practicing how to ask questions in English using the correct question words. Last week we did a speaking activity in pairs in which we asked questions to each other using prompts. This activity has been a preparation for a project we are about to resume with a school in France.
During this year we’ll be interchanging videos with this school in the south of France. This way students can practice speaking using English in real situations. They are very excited with this project. Each video will deal with a different topic to reinforce whatever is being learned at that moment.
The first video is to introduce themselves. On Monday each students wrote the script and then rehearsed it. Afterwards, they filmed each other in separated videos that we’ll put together before sending them.

Today is Halloween, a festival that is very important in many countries. These days we’ve been talking about its origin and learning some vocabulary.
Yesterday the grown ups organized a tunnel of terror for the ‘Mitjans’. We prepared everything very well and in a record time! We were a bit nervous but everything went very well. Also, when we finished we cleaned up the room properly.
There were fingers, brain, eye balls and veins, we had such a fun time touching things. The tunnel was very scary too.
On Monday 30th of October we celebrated Halloween in our school. We prepared a terror tunnel and a activity where the other students had to touch objects with blinded eyes for the boys and girls in year 3 and year 4.
For the activity to touch we used:
soap (snot/mocus)
potatoe with jelly (heart)
coliflower with jelly (brain)
sausages with jelly (fingers)
bouncy balls with jelly (eyes)
plastic glove with very cold water inside (dead person hand)
roasted corns (teeth)
Later we went to Mari’s Restaurant to do trick or treating and Mari gave us sweets. Thank you, Mari!!!!
It was very cool and fun! We enjoyed it a lot! But to clean and tidy up was a bit difficult

Great news!!
A school in France, near la Junquera, wrote us to ask if it would be possible to film some videos with our students of year 5 and year 6 speaking in English and to exchange them with their students in France and visa versa. They also asked us if it would be possible to talk by skype! (through the school account). A beautiful possibility to improve their oral expression in English! Great Idea!

Una gran notícia!!
Una escola a França, prop de la Jonquera, ens va escriure per preguntar si seria possible filmar alguns vídeos amb els nostres alumnes de 5è i 6è parlant en anglès i intercanviar-los amb els seus estudiants a França i viceversa. També ens van preguntar si seria possible parlar per Skype! (a través del compte de l’escola). Una bona possibilitat de millorar la seva expressió oral en anglès! Bona idea!
I aquí us mostrem només algunes fotos i vídeos dels altres estudiants de la nostra escola (Infantil, C. Mitjà i C. Inicial) cantant, jugant i aprenent anglès!. A Cicle Mitjà estàvem jugant a cartes per a aprendre ” Jo tinc”, “ell té”, “Ella té” …i vocabulari de jocs i joguines.

We are very happy to announce that we are exchanging mails (postcards) with a Russian School!!
At the moment we have received and sent Christmas postcards to differents kids, but we want to go on writing them and know them better!
It is being a great experience! We are learning how to write and at same time we make new friends and learn more about another country. Fantastic!
