ACCEDEIX AL BLOC DEL GEP
Whats GEP:
El GEP o Grup d’Experimentació per al Plurilingüisme és un programa plurilingüe impulsat pel Departament d’Ensenyament de la Generalitat de Catalunya en el que hi participen centres de tot Catalunya. La nostra escola formarà part d’aquest grup experimental durant els tres propers cursos.
Durant aquest temps, els/les alumnes rebran i els/les professors/es implementaran metodologies CLIL/AICLE en les classes de diverses matèries.
Objectiu:
L’objectiu principal d’aquest programa és millorar la competència en llengües estrangeres (anglès) de l’alumnat.
Altres objectius són:
– Desenvolupar competències clau pel món actual.
– Fomentar el treball cooperatiu i per projectes.
– Potenciar el treball interdisciplinari.
– Adquirir estratègies per a l’aprenentatge autònom (aprendre a aprendre)
AICLE/CLIL:
“Aprenentatge Integrat de Contingut i Llengua Estrangera” (AICLE/CLIL) és un enfocament educatiu en el qual una llengua estrangera s’utilitza com a mitjà d’instrucció per ensenyar continguts de matèria.
L’AICLE contribueix a incrementar la competència lingüística de l’aprenent a través de reptes cognitius i d’activitats de resolució de problemes, promou l’autonomia de l’aprenent i l’ajuda a desenvolupar competències del pensament (thinking skills). Les classes AICLE es caracteritzen per l’ús que es fa de la llengua amb un propòsit real, és a dir, el seu ús és autèntic i molt més significatiu per als alumnes.
Our school:
Marta Mata School is a public school which is financed with public funds from the Education Department of La Generalitat. It is set in Nou Barris, Barcelona. In our district there are many public schools and private schools with public funding.
The school is quite small. It is provided with three years of kindergarten and six of Primary Education. There is one class in each grade and the ratio is between 23-26 students per class. The mother tongue in the school is Catalan and all the lessons are taught in Catalan apart from Spanish, the English subject, Arts and Crafts and some workshops. The school day goes from 9:00 to 12:30 and from 15:00 to 16:30.
It is needed a good coordination with the teaching team and, for the school, it is important to keep a good relationship with the families with the purpose of giving to children the best integral and harmonic education.
The Faculty and the Management team of the school work together to promote and modernise the school in all its scopes.
There is some cultural diversity in its school area, most of the people speak Spanish and other languages as their mother tongue.
We have started implementing CLIL methodologies in Art classes with our Elementary classmates but we have also incorporated some English workshops.
Classroom ideas:
- Introduction of Arts and Crafts (CLIL) from 1 st grade to 6 th grade.
- Some workshops are taught in English. For instance, cooking in 5 th and 6 th grade.
- Design an interdisciplinary project called “around the world” from 1 st grade to 6 th grade. This project will culminate during the cultural week celebrating and English day.
- Introduction of story-telling time during “apadrinament lector” on Fridays.
- Many parts of the school will be labelled using Catalan, Spanish and English.
- Introduction of songs, poems or riddles during our winter festival.
