Hello!! My name is Amanda. I am Welsh but I have lived in Manchester since I was 6 years old. I was delighted to be selected to participate in the Language Assistant Programme at Serraparera School, course 2022-2023.
The children gave me a very warm welcome, and so did the school´s dragon. He must be a relation of the dragon on the Welsh flag as he is very friendly!
I am really enjoying interacting with the children in English and watching their confidence grow, and also teaching them important aspects of British culture, such as Bonfire Night.
In turn, by the end of the school year they might also have taught me some Catalan!!
