We make a stop to investigate how verbs in the future form work in English in order to write the script for our weather forecast programme. Carla suggests that we get together in groups to research about future tenses on the internet and then discuss together what we have found.
We found that there are 3 forms of future tense: will, going to and present continuous. Each one is used depending on the probability that what we say will or will not happen, for example a spontaneous decision or a planned trip. We make a referent so that we can remember it when we write the script for the weather forecast.
Once we finished the weather videos, Aina proposes to get together in groups to prepare practice exercises, so we get together and start working. Carla gives us a trick to use the words maybe and for sure to be able to identify the probability in the sentences and not depend on writing the percentage.
A few days later, when we have finished preparing the practice exercises, Carla makes photocopies for all of us and we work through them individually to identify any doubts that might come up or in what we have more difficulty.
While we are solving the practice exercises, Pau says he wants to do some Kahoot about the future tenses. We decide that as we finish, we will prepare Kahoots in pairs to review them in a fun way for the future tenses test.
