PAST TENSE

To write the explicative text, we realise that we need to write the sentences in the past tense. Max comments that the verbs end in -ed, so we start making a list of examples on the board. Carla writes down the verbs we say, but when we have a few examples, she crosses out some examples and tells us that they are not correct.

As we see that we don’t have it very clear, we decide to make a stop to find out first how to speak in the past tense in English. Carla asks us how we can find out and Martí suggests we look it up on the Internet. So, we pick up our laptops and spend about 10 minutes looking for all the information that could be useful to us. After 10 minutes, we share what we have found.

We discover that there are regular verbs and irregular verbs. The regular ones end in -ed as Max said and the irregular ones don’t, they have a different form for each one. We assume that they are the ones that Carla has crossed out and with a list of irregular verbs that Aran and Gal·la have found, we look for their correct form. Afterwards, Llibert and Claudi show us an explicative video they have found.

Once all the information was collected, we decided to put it on the map by writing example sentences for both types of verbs. To build the sentences, Carla asks us to add time expressions to show that we are writing in the past tense. We write on the board the ones we know so that we can remember them.

Now that we know how to write in the past tense, we start with the text explaining the process we follow to create our clay figure.
