Un dels aspectes més singulars de l’International School of Bergamo és la seva realitat multilingüística i cultural, ja que el centre acull un alt percentatge d’alumnat procedent de països d’arreu del món.
Aquesta realitat és tractada amb molta sensibilitat i per a l’escola esdevé una gran oportunitat per transmetre valors com la integració i el respecte cap a totes les persones independentment del seu origen.
Així doncs, destinen murals on plasmen els diferents perfils lingüístics presents a cada classe a través d’un autoretrat on cada alumne/a detalla en quin idioma pensa, en quin parla amb la família, els companys/es o els/les mestres, quin li agradaria aprendre en un futur, etc. També és comú veure a les seves aules un rètol amb les diferents maneres com poden saludar-se cada matí, incloent els diferents idiomes que coneixen a cada classe.
D’altra banda, celebren i tracten no només les tradicions italianes, sinó també d’altres pròpies de l’alumnat de cada aula. Anualment dediquen dues jornades a aquesta temàtica: el Mother Tongue Day i l’International Day. En ambdues celebracions es convida les famílies a participar i compartir la seva cultura i tradicions (canten cançons del seu país als més petits de l’escola, els expliquen contes tradicionals, comparteixen menjars típics, porten jocs populars de la seva cultura, etc.).

One of the most unique aspects of the International School of Bergamo is its multilingual and cultural reality, since the centre hosts a high percentage of students from countries around the world.
This reality is treated with great sensitivity and for the school it becomes a great opportunity to transmit values such as integration and respect for all people regardless of their origin.
Therefore, they dedicate murals where they capture the different linguistic profiles present in each class through a self-portrait where each student details in which language they think, in which they speak with their family, classmates or teachers, which one they would like to learn in the future, etc. It is also common to see in their classrooms a sign with the different ways in which they can greet each other every morning, including the different languages that they know in each class.
On the other hand, they celebrate and treat not only Italian traditions, but also others specific to the students in each classroom. Every year they dedicate two days to this theme: Mother Tongue Day and International Day. In both celebrations, families are invited to participate and share their culture and traditions (they sing songs from their country to the little ones at school, tell them traditional stories, share typical foods, bring popular games from their culture, etc.).
