Avui els nens i nens de 3r curs de Primària han fet una videoconferència amb els alumnes de 2n de l’escola Welbourne Primary School de Londres, Regne Unit. Primer, els alumnes s’han saludat amb llengües oposades. Tot seguit, han mostrat les banderes dels seus països i les han descrit. Posteriorment, els/les nens/es han preguntat i han respost cinc preguntes referents a les dues escoles. Hem esbrinat que a la seva escola:
- Hi ha 607 alumnes, 28 mestres i 20 aules.
- La seva directora es diu Ms Duggal (ens va saludar).
- Comencen l’escola a les 8:55 i l’acaben a les 15:30.
- Estudien ciències, educació visual i plàstica, anglès, matemàtiques, TIC, música, educació física, lectura guiada i religió.
Després, els/les alumnes han pogut conèixer i saludar el/la company/a amb qui mantindran correspondència en llengua anglesa. En acabat, els/les alumnes de Juneda els han cantat “El febrer a l’inrevés”. Ells/es ens han cantat la cançó “Wake up”. Finalment, ens hem acomiadat.
Aquesta és la primera activitat que els/les nostres alumnes faran conjuntament amb els/les alumnes de Welbourne Primary School. La setmana vinent enviarem el primer correu electrònic en anglès, que hem anat preparant aquestes setmanes a l’hora d’anglès, i hi adjuntarem els nostres autoretrats, que hem preparat a l’hora d’educació visual i plàstica. Durant el mes de març rebrem la seva resposta.
La següent activitat que prepararem i envirarem serà una recepta per fer paper reciclat. Ambdós cursos acabem d’inicar el tema dels materials i del reciclatge i hem cregut que seria ideal treballar-lo conjuntament.

Today the children in Year 3 of Primary Education had their first interaction with the children in Year 2 in Welbourne Primary School in London, UK. First of all, they greeted each other in opposing languages. Next, they shared their countries’ flags and they described them. After that, they asked each other five questions about their schools. We found out that in their school:
- There are 607 children, 28 teachers and 20 classrooms.
- Their head teacher is called Ms Duggal (she greeted us).
- They start school at 8:55 and they finish at 15:30.
- They study Science, Art, English, Maths, ICT, Music, PE, guided Reading and Religious Studies.
Later, the children greeted their pen pals. After that, they sang a song to each other. Children in Juneda sang “February upside down” and children in England sang “Wake up”. Finally, we said goodbye.
This is the first activity our students will do with children in Welbourne Primary School. Next week we will send them our first email in English, which we have been preparing during the English classes, and we will attach our self-portraits, which we have been drawing during our Art lessons. During the month of March we will receive their replies.
The next activity we are going to prepare and send is a recipe to make recycled paper. Both groups have just started a unit about materials and recycling and we thought it could be great to do some activities together.
