On Friday 19th of March the whole of Mallorca school celebrated the English Day. On this occasion the topic chosen was The USA so most activities revolved around American culture. Pupils got to learn a bit about America’s geography, its most popular cities and places to visit, the differences between British and American English and so on.. It was also a good opportunity for Year 6 students to act out a few short theatre plays they had been rehearsing during the school year and, to end-up our English day, we all gathered in the playground in the afternoon and danced to some American songs ( Yankee Doodle, Old Mac Donalds,You are my sunshine and Line dance).
