Our first-year pupils who are coursing the scenic baccalaureate have recorded a video in the Jewish quarter of Tortosa. They have explained the most important spaces of one of the most outstanding Jewish quarters in Catalonia: the synagogue, the entrance gate, the walls, etc. They have honored the poet and linguist Menahem Ben Saruq, מנחם בן יעקב בן סרוק, who was born in Tortosa in 920 and passed away in Cordova in 970. He was the author of Mahbered, the first dictionary of Biblical terms in Hebrew. Besides, he wrote a historical letter to the king of the Khazars, a little Jewish kingdom from the 10th century.
