On Wednesday, February 5th, the students of 2nd-year Batxillerat E, from the Humanities and Performing Arts track, had the opportunity to enjoy an online talk with the writer Coia Valls from Reus. The session took place during their tutorial hour, offering students a unique experience to get to know one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Catalan literature.

During the talk, Coia Valls spoke about her professional journey, starting with her career as a speech therapist. She then explained her transition to the artistic world, where she has excelled as a reciter and novelist. The students were able to explore the multifaceted nature of this talented author and her passion for literature.

One of the most emotional moments of the session was when Coia Valls recited a poem from El jardí de les delícies (The Garden of Delights) by Gerard Vergés, her great literary idol. The students were captivated by her performance and her deep connection to the work of the renowned poet from Tortosa.

Additionally, the students had the chance to share their own literary and artistic aspirations with the author. They also discussed their research projects (TDR) focused on literature, exchanging ideas and receiving valuable advice from the novelist.

The talk was an enriching experience for the students, allowing them to delve into the world of literature guided by one of the most significant writers in today’s Catalan literary scene.

This activity was part of the eTwinning Writing is Fun project, aimed at promoting all kinds of literary events and fostering a love for literature.

El passat dimecres, 5 de febrer, els alumnes de 2n de Batxillerat E, de l’itinerari humanístic i escènic, van tenir l’oportunitat de gaudir d’una xerrada en línia amb l’escriptora reusenca Coia Valls. La sessió es va dur a terme durant l’hora de tutoria, oferint als estudiants una experiència única per conèixer de prop una de les figures més destacades de la literatura catalana actual.
Durant la xerrada, Coia Valls va parlar sobre la seua trajectòria professional, començant per la seua carrera com a logopeda. A continuació, va explicar el seu pas al món artístic, on ha destacat com a rapsoda i novel·lista. Els estudiants van poder conèixer les diverses facetes d’aquesta autora polifacètica i la seua passió per la literatura.
Un dels moments més emotius de la sessió va ser quan Coia Valls va recitar un poema d’El jardí de les delícies de Gerard Vergés, el seu gran mite literari. Els alumnes van quedar captivats per la seua interpretació i la seua connexió amb l’obra del gran poeta tortosí.
A més, els estudiants van tenir l’oportunitat de compartir amb l’autora les seues pròpies vocacions literàries i artístiques. També van parlar dels seus treballs de recerca (TDR) de caire literari, intercanviant idees i reben consells valuosos de la novel·lista.
La xerrada va ser una experiència enriquidora per als alumnes, que van poder aprofundir en el món de la literatura de la mà d’una de les escriptores més rellevants del panorama actual.
